Below is a DSA video of what you should expect on the day of your theory test
The theory part of the driving test is just that – a test of the theory behind driving. In plain English that’s understanding road signs and markings, and what to do in everyday situations found on the roads. It takes the form of a multiple-choice test followed by a hazard perception test.
Then it’s the hazard perception part of the test. You’ll be shown 14 video clips featuring developing hazards in an everyday situation. These are designed to test your reactions and how you’d react if it you were in that situation. It’s usually a simple matter of slowing down or changing direction, and it’s all done with the click of a mouse.
